Wu style is one of the main styles of TC popular in Hong Kong, Macao, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. This version of Wu Long Form is demonstrated by the current Grandmaster of the style, Wu GuangYu, the great-grandson of the founder Wu Chien Chuan, the grandson of Wu Jung Yi. Wu style movements are light and soft with a characteristic body that bends to veto the energy in a specific direction.

Since it uses a relatively small “frame,” it is suitable for virtually anyone of any age to learn. In addition, Wu style is particularly adept at eye control and waist turns.

While it’s not as exciting as some other styles to watch, it has a solid foundation and well thought out execution. This subtitled DVD shows Wu himself demonstrating the moves.
